Photo Express is a service of Visible Solutions AG in Zurich. We turn a smartphone shot into a document photo that meets the requirements of the authority in question – with no appointment, no account and no payment up front.

What the service does

You choose the document: passport, identity card, visa or driving licence, among others. The guided capture puts a crop mask over the image and checks head height, framing, sharpness and background against the requirements of the selected format. The background is removed automatically and the result is cropped to the target format.

You see the finished photo before you pay. After that you download the file or order printed copies to a Swiss address.

What we stand behind

• Data processing in Switzerland. The secure capture and the processing take place in Switzerland, in ISO/IEC 27001-certified data centers.
• GDPR and revFADP compliant. What happens with your data is set out in the privacy policy.
• 60-day money-back guarantee. If an authority rejects your photo because of insufficient photo quality, we refund the full amount.
• Prices without small print. CHF 8.90 for the digital file, CHF 14.90 including printed photos by post and the file.

The issuing authority always makes the final decision on whether a photo is accepted. Photo Express prepares the photo for the selected format and checks the common quality criteria that lead to rejections in practice.
