Does Photo Express guarantee that an authority will accept my photo?
Photo Express prepares the photo for the selected format and checks common quality criteria. The issuing authority always makes the final acceptance decision. If an authority rejects your photo because of insufficient photo quality, we will refund the full amount paid.
Do I need a white wall behind me?
The background is removed automatically. A wall is still a good choice because it is not a light source. Be sure to avoid lamps, windows or people in the background.
Can I print the digital passport photo myself?
Yes. Download the digital photo and print it on suitable photo paper at home or through a local photo printing service (like Migros, Coop, Müller, Rossmann). Printed delivery to Swiss addresses costs CHF 14.90 and includes the digital file.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and TWINT. You pay only after you have seen your finished photo.

Frequently asked questions about online passport photos
Should I use my phone or a webcam?
Use your phone and ask someone else to take the picture. Smartphone cameras provide the image quality needed for a good document photo; webcams generally do not and should not be used. Use the rear camera when possible, clean the lens and hold the phone at eye level.
How does the 60-day money-back guarantee work?
If an authority rejects your photo, you can request a refund within 60 days of purchase using our refund form.
